What are Joey's?

Joey Scouts are boys and girls aged 5 or 8.

This Section provides an introduction to Scouting through a wide range of enjoyable activities.

Joey Scouts are taught about sharing, about nature and about the world around them. Joey Scouts are given a sense of belonging and learn ways for creative expression. Most importantly, Joey Scouts are taught to jump in and help.

Joey Scouts uphold the Australian Scout Law of Be respectful, Do what is right and Believe in myself.

Joey Scout Meetings

Joey Scouts meet on Tuesday nights (during school terms) from 6.30 to 7:30pm.

A Joey Scout Unit is made up of up to 20 children. The Unit is then broken into small groups called Patrols. Each child is given the opportunity to take on a leadership role in a Patrol over time.
